Tasks & Collaboration

Tasks help you track what needs to be done for each plan (activity). You can organize tasks by date or by category and invite others to help.

Tasks are plan-specific

Tasks and categories belong to a specific plan (activity). Switch the selected plan if you don’t see the tasks you expect.

Open Tasks

  1. Create at least one event plan (activity).
  2. Open the Dashboard for your occasion type.
  3. Select Manage Tasks on the plan you want to work on.

Pick a Plan

On the tasks page, select which plan you are working on. Uthsav can also open the correct plan automatically if you arrived from the dashboard.

Task Fields

Typical task details include:

  • Task name / title
  • Due date (date and time)
  • Category (optional)
  • Assignee (optional)

View Tasks

You may be able to switch between:

  • Chronological view: tasks ordered by due date
  • Category view: tasks grouped by category

Create Categories

  1. Open the category selector.
  2. Add a new category name.
  3. Save.

Categories are specific to a single plan.

Add or Edit Tasks

  1. Select Add Task.
  2. Enter the task name and due date.
  3. Choose a category and assignee (optional).
  4. Save.

You can edit tasks later to change the due date, category, or assignee.

Invite Collaborators (Assignees)

If you are planning with others, you can invite them to help:

  1. Open the assignee section.
  2. Select Invite.
  3. Enter the collaborator’s email (and any required details).
  4. Send the invite.

The collaborator receives an invite link. Depending on the invite type, they may:

  • Accept the invite while logged in, or
  • Accept and then create/log into an account to participate

What Collaboration Enables

  • Assigning tasks to invited collaborators
  • Tracking who is responsible for each task
  • Receiving notifications when invites are accepted (if notifications are enabled)
