Messages¶
Messages let you chat with other users and share images or files.
Open Messages¶
- Log in.
- Select the Messages icon in the header.
If you have unread messages, you will see a badge count on the icon.
Conversations¶
- The left panel shows your conversations and unread counts.
- Select a conversation to open the message thread.
Start a New Conversation¶
- Use the user search option.
- Select a user from the results.
- Send your first message.
Send Attachments¶
You can attach:
- Images
- Documents and other supported file types
When an attachment uploads successfully, it is sent as a link in the conversation.
Message Status¶
Your messages may show a delivery/read status such as:
- Pending (sending)
- Sent (delivered to server)
- Read (opened by the other user)
Delete Messages or Conversations¶
If available in your UI, you can delete:
- A single message
- An entire conversation
Deletion is permanent for your account view.
